Yeah, even if I stay right in his face he mostly does attacks that can't be parried. I've never had him consistently do the same easy-to-parry phase one moves like he does here.
I'm having a rough go at this also, and he mixes up his attacks constantly. I also can't find a good guide for casters, which is what I am playing.
@@fzoulcmbyl2134 I ended up focusing less on the parries and more on the attacks I needed to dodge, the most dangerous being his five-hit combo. At that point the parries were almost muscle memory, and I knew which moves gave me enough time for a charged or jump attack. Idk about casting, but the windows should be the same regardless, wait for the opening and hit him with something heavy. There's always Carian Slicer for quick damage up close.
Finally beat him tonight, this was the 3rd go around and I didn't think I was going to get this one. I ended up using Swarm of flies and Radagon's icon for faster casting, and then I ran clear across the area and kept a big distance between us while just spamming that spell. I also put on some high focus gear for the madness resistance. I'm only running 35 Arcane, but that spell tore him up. 😁
@@fzoulcmbyl2134 Nice! Yeah, I forgot I used the talisman that boosts madness resistance since I kept getting inflicted with it and immediately dying. I didn't think I was getting anywhere either, I had like 25 tries in a row where I'd consistently get him to his 2nd phase with no trouble and then die right away. Then out of nowhere I had an amazing run where everything went right and I barely needed to heal. That's never going to happen with the last boss though. I'm just never going to beat him, and I'm at peace with that. I got to him, tried several times, and then just started another playthrough with a different build lol.
